Adding pages to your web site is a very useful skill, and it's a lot easier than it seems. Following the instructions below will save you a lot of money and help create a more dynamic web site for your firm.
1. Go to Ipswitch and download their FTP-Home program. This software, known as a file transfer protocol (FTP) program, makes it easy to switch files from your document folders to your live web site. It is available as a free trial for 30 days. After downloading the program, you will see two windows with a column in the middle and two arrows, one pointing from left to right, and the other in the opposite direction. 2. Determine your FTP address, user name and password and input them into the corresponding boxes at the top of the screen. The information above may be obtained from your web site host. Once you enter it into the corresponding boxes, the files from your live web site will appear in the right-hand window. You can choose any folder in your hard drive for the left-hand window.
