In 2003, Willy Gissen founded Cut-It-Out Communications, a full-service public relations agency based in Hartsdale, New York. The organization focuses on the incorporation of online activities into traditional public relations programs, primarily for business-to-business and hi-tech clients.

These activities include e-newsletters, the set up and use of social media sites, and the creation of inbound links -- through blogs, online press releases and content provision articles -- to maximize the search engine ranking for a client's web site.

With more than 10 years of experience in public relations and related fields, Mr. Gissen has been interviewed on WVOX-AM and published widely in The Journal News, the Westchester County Business Journal, HV Biz and Westchester Commerce.

Eat That Frog

In his three-CD audio set, "Eat That Frog," Brian Tracy organizes his business advice around a saying by Mark Twain:

"If you begin each day by eating a live frog, you can be satisfied that's the worst thing that will happen to you all day long."

In other words, do the most difficult thing first instead of procrastinating by clearing up smaller matters to build up to it. Smaller items tend to multiply as you do them, creating a nearly endless source of diversion.

Here are some other aphorisms Brian Tracy offers in this excellent presentation, perfect to listen to while you're driving around in your car:

Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field. Start each day by reading for at least a half an hour about new developments in your industry.

The hockey play, Wayne Gretzky, said, "You miss every shot you don't take." Don't be afraid of new challenges.

Emphasize the quality of your time at work to maximize the quantity of your time at home.

Boosting Your Blog
Advanced Techniques

Blogs can be a powerful tool to improve your web site's search engine ranking. Please see below eight advanced methods to achieve this, and much more.

1) Make your blog part of your company web site.

Download Wordpress.org, the most powerful software for an internal blog. A blog residing on your company domain serves as a source of inbound "deep" links and creates a dynamic site that is constantly growing. This is one feature Google evaluates in its ranking algorithm.

2) Use the "Sociable" plug-in to create icons linking your blog to social media sites.

Plug-ins provide additional functionality to your Wordpress.org software. Sociable serves as a source of viral marketing by letting visitors spread your material to their favorite Web 2.0 programs.

3) The "All in one SEO" plug-in improves blog headlines and descriptions.

Blog writers need interesting headlines to attract readers, but more topical and factual headlines are preferable for SEO. This plug-in lets you do both.
